Creating a New Life after Divorce

To create a life takes vision. In order to create a new way of being, whether it is a new career or a new way of life that fulfills your passions and values, you must know where you are going. Then work backwards and Be the Vision now!

The Gift of a Life Well Lived

To create a Vision of your Future Self, I will assist you in discovering what truly has meaning for you and what you are passionate about. This is all about you: who you are and who you are becoming...the person that knows what needs to be known and who navigates life with ease.

Once you are clear about your priorities, you are then free to create a vision of your future; a future that you know will give you the gifts of a life well lived. We are all blessed with one precious life and there is no time like now to ensure that we live that one life as fully as possible.

Your divorce might just be the smack on the head to wake you up to what is still possible for you. Often it is just the wakeup call that we needed. Interestingly enough, many women go on to thank their ex-husbands for shaking them up and putting them on the path to self-fulfillment and joy!

Attention on your Intention

A Life Coach will hold the Vision you create of yourself (note the capital V) throughout your coaching so that you never stray from the path that will lead to a wonderful life. New habits will be cultivated to lead you to your Vision. We will put all of our attention on your intention and every action plan that we create together will always align with that Vision.

Focus on the Positive Act of Creating

Creating a new life, whether it is a new job or a new life as a single person, concentrates on the positive act of creating, not the negative act of problem solving. Sometimes we simply need to admit that certain things cannot be fixed and something new needs to take it's place.

Here’s an interesting fact:

Thomas Edison spent ten years (1899 to 1909) developing a practical alkaline battery. In the first year of production, the Edison Storage Battery Company sold one million dollars worth of batteries. Edison later was asked if the 28,000 tests he had conducted on the storage battery had been a "wasted effort." He replied, "What do you mean, wasted effort? I now know 28,000 things that won't work."

Lessons in Deep Learning

Most of us get highly frustrated when we are working on creating significant change in our lives. We are used to instant gratification. True creators (inventors, composers, artists, scientists, etc.) take years bringing their creation to fruition. We get impatient after a few months. Don’t. To create change there will be many so-called setbacks. The term setback is a misnomer: they are lessons in deep learning that serve as guides on our road to our goals.

Start today by coming up with what you want in life. Don’t worry about the how, just the what. The how will take care of itself, you’ll see.
